The next public talk in the NUI Galway public talk series on Sports Technology takes place this evening (Tuesday, 14 February) at 6pm. Entitled Engineering in Hurling – Hurleys, Sliotars and Helmets, the talk will be delivered by Dr Conchúr Ó Brádaigh, Lecturer with the College of Engineering and Informatics at NUI Galway. The talk takes place in ENG 3035, Engineering Building, NUI Galway. All are welcome!

Upcoming Talk: Re-engineering the Swimmer

The next in NUI Galway’s series of public talks on sports technology will focus on ‘Re-engineering the Swimmer: the Science and Technology of Swimming’. The free event takes place in room 3035 of the new Engineering Building on campus, on Tuesday, 31 January at 6pm. The lecture will be given by Dr Gavin Corley of NUI Galway’s College of Engineering and Informatics, who is himself a competitive swimmer. See the events guide for more details.
